Since childhood, she has been captivated by God, Catholic mysticism, and the sacred feminine. Her writing is nourished by saints, early Christian women mystics, Beguines, cathedrals, monasteries, labyrinths, the Rosary, nature, and illuminated manuscripts. Ordained in 2008 in Asemwald, Germany, she became the first Roman Catholic woman bishop in North America, now retired. She has served as hospice chaplain, pastoral associate, spiritual director, foundress of Belle Cœur Sisterhood, ARRCWP member, and People’s Catholic Seminary instructor. Author of Ink and Honey and The Way of Belle Coeur, she writes, teaches, and lives prayerfully with her husband in the American Heartland.
