Smoked Glass and Steel Caravaca Rosary

8mm beads.
weight 110g
circumference 75cm
This exquisite rosary, handmade in Scotland, features beads crafted from beautiful smoked glass, which takes on a captivating grey hue. The metalwork is stainless steel, ensuring both durability and a sleek appearance. At the heart of this rosary is a Saint Benedict medal, symbolizing protection and blessings. The cross is a detailed Caravaca Crucifix, adorned with cerebs, adding a layer of historical and spiritual significance. Each Our Father bead is embellished with a traditional dental motif, contributing to the rosary's overall chique and elegant aesthetic.

The Caravaca Cross, central to this rosary, carries profound symbolism. Originating from Caravaca de la Cruz in Spain, it features a double crossbar design. The top bar represents the title board placed above Jesus during His crucifixion, while the lower bar symbolizes the crossbeam on which Jesus' hands were nailed. This unique design signifies the dual nature of Christ: His divinity and humanity. According to legend, the Caravaca Cross was miraculously brought by angels, underscoring divine intervention and heavenly presence. This cross is often associated with protection, miracles, and faith, making it a powerful spiritual emblem within the rosary.
