Anglican Maple and Antiqued Brass Celtic Carndonagh Cross
This Anglican Protestant rosary is handmade in Scotland using smooth maple wood beads and warm antiqued brass findings, evoking a sense of quiet reverence and natural simplicity. The cross is a faithful replica of the Carndonagh Cross, one of Ireland’s oldest and most important early Christian monuments. Standing on the Inishowen Peninsula in County Donegal, the original sandstone cross dates to the 7th century and is richly carved with interlacing Celtic patterns and early depictions of Christ with the Apostles. It marks a place of ancient pilgrimage and reflects the blending of Christian faith with Celtic artistry. This rosary continues that heritage—uniting prayer, craftsmanship, and history in one piece. Designed for contemplation rather than ornament, it invites moments of stillness and reflection in the Anglican tradition, linking the spiritual journey of today’s believer with the timeless witness of early Celtic Christianity.
