British Armed Forces Memorial Anglican Rosary
This beautifully handcrafted Anglican rosary, made in Scotland, is a striking blend of faith and history. The rosary features 8mm garnet beads, their deep red hue symbolizing Christ’s sacrifice and the steadfast devotion of prayer. The antiqued brass metalwork gives the piece a vintage aesthetic, ensuring both durability and a timeless appeal.
A defining feature of this rosary is its cross—a replica of the Victoria Cross, the highest military decoration for valor in the British Armed Forces. Established by Queen Victoria in 1856 during the Crimean War, the Victoria Cross is awarded for extraordinary bravery in combat. Traditionally cast from the bronze of Russian cannons captured at the Siege of Sevastopol, this rare and prestigious medal has been awarded to fewer than 1,400 individuals, making it one of the most revered symbols of courage and sacrifice.
As an Anglican rosary, this piece is designed for meditative prayer, offering a structured yet flexible way to deepen one’s faith. The combination of the Victoria Cross and the rosary highlights themes of bravery, sacrifice, and spiritual devotion, making it a meaningful companion for prayer and reflection—both in times of peace and in moments of challenge.
