Carndonagh Cross Anglican Rosary with Persian Jade and Sterling Silver
"Prayer beads create rhythm in our silence, space in our restlessness, and structure in our seeking."
— Rev. Kristen E. Vincent
This Carndonagh Irish Celtic Cross Anglican Rosary draws its meaning from one of Ireland’s most ancient Christian monuments: the Carndonagh Cross. Standing on the Inishowen Peninsula, the original high cross marks a site of early monastic worship and carries the distinctive ringed form that symbolises eternity, the unity of heaven and earth, and the unbroken presence of God in daily life.
Handmade in Scotland, these prayer beads are crafted with 8 mm Persian jade in a luminous blue copper–aquamarine tone, chosen for its associations with calm, truth, and contemplative prayer. The cool sea-washed colour echoes the coastal landscapes of both Donegal and western Scotland, binding the rosary to shared Celtic Christian heritage across the Irish Sea.
The metalwork is sterling silver-plated stainless steel, offering the beauty of silver with modern durability for regular prayer use. At its heart hangs a carefully detailed replica of the Carndonagh Cross, grounding each prayer in the memory of early Irish Christianity—rooted, resilient, and incarnational.
Designed in the Anglican rosary tradition, this piece supports rhythmic, meditative prayer without haste. It is not merely devotional jewellery, but a tactile companion for quiet perseverance: bead by bead, prayer shaped by history, landscape, and faith carried forward into the present.
