This handmade Catholic pocket rosary is made with deep blue 8 mm lapis lazuli beads, gold-tone stainless steel metalwork, a reproduction French Sacred Heart medal and an ornate French Gothic starburst style crucifix.
It is designed as a compact rosary for carrying in a pocket, handbag, prayer corner or bedside drawer — a small devotional piece that feels substantial, beautiful and gift-worthy without needing to be a full five-decade rosary.
The medal is inspired by old French Sacred Heart devotional medals. One side shows the radiant Sacred Heart, traditionally shown with flames, rays, the cross and the crown of thorns. The reverse carries the French prayer:
“Cœur Sacré de Jésus, j’ai confiance en vous”
This means:
“Sacred Heart of Jesus, I trust in You.”
The lower wording refers to a historic 300-day indulgence associated with Pope Pius X. It is included here as part of the antique-style French medal design, giving the piece a distinctly old-world Catholic character.
